It may seem as if Starbucks is everywhere, but as you can see from this map, they have a long way to go. They may have an overwhelming presence in some of the states, but in other states, they don't exist. Vermont? Does it not get cold there?
They have not given up. Starbucks now has a new concept called "Signature Aisles" to place themselves in multiple grocery stores. It is basically a mini Starbucks on the grocery aisle. They may yet succeed.
